It almost seems like the entire freshman class has declared their intentions to play in the NBA next. You know, it has always been their dream to play basketball at the highest level and this is the best decision for them at this moment in time, etc. etc. In fact, five of the top six freshman, as rated by the Freshman Hazing (http://www.profantasysports.com/easycite/ros.php?PID=9125&cid=12) rankings have decided to turn pro. Monk was the second receiver taken by the Bears when Chicago used a seventh-round compensatory selection on him on Sunday.
Insight: Monk was limited by quarterback issues throughout college and then injury as a senior. He scored 11 TDs and gained 962 yards in 2006 despite the Razorbacks waffling between Mitch Mustain and Casey Dick under center. The weakness of the Bears receivers should offer Monk a decent shot at making an impact. (Matt Schauf/SportsBuff.com)
